So you may have noticed...
With the help of the fine press folks from TransRockies, earlier in the week I had put up a Stage One recap from the race, with more to follow. But to be honest, I bailed on putting the info on web. It's out there on a bunch of other sites. Many of you who were interested probably already read it, and it just seemed not to fit with where the mag is at right now. XXC has never been a web site, but a site to get the mag. I do hope to have a recap in the next issue and feature much of the action for you viewing pleasure along side a bunch of other cool racing and dirt adventures.
I feel like shit for not posting up the race stuff, but there are indeed lots of things going on right now at XXC World HQ that are making things tough. One is that the office (that would be the spare bedroom in my house) is moving from the Pittsburgh, PA area to Mt. Pleasant Michigan in October due to my wife's job. On top of that I was diagnosed with another DVT in my leg last week. And on top of ALL that there have been numerous glitches with the shipping and handling. Thank you all for being patient with me as I sorted out some of the issues. XXC #8 is really freaking good, I hope you all had a chance to give it a read.
Issue #9 is in the works, and will be out in October some time (much of that depends on when the office/house moves).
By the way right from now (Thursday Aug 12) until Saturday sometime (later if I forget), if you order a new XXC T shirt and you will get a free digital copy of the XXC Dirty Kanza 200 edition. So for $15 you get a swank shirt, 2 stickers, a digital copy of #8 and of the the DK200 edition. Pretty sweet deal*. But then again, I'm the one sellin' it. ;)
Thanks!
