XXC Mag World HQ: The R&D Room

Yesterday you saw XXC Magazine World HQ (AKA a desk in a spare bedroom). Today you see the "R&D Room" (AKA my basement). Because while I don't race as much as I used to, and I don't ride as much as I used to, the bike is what makes a cyclist a cyclist. Without one we would be a hikers (GASP!).

It is clear I have too many bikes. I need to get rid of at least one. Wanna buy a Dos Niner?? LOL! But I do love them, and they are my bikes. These are not on loan, test for the mag and cheap rate bikes. Sure some have been acquired over time through sponsorship discounts, etc., But they are mine. I wish I took better care of them, I wish I was a better wrench, OK, I wish I knew how to wrench at all! And I wish they saw more miles than my almost 40, pudgy, mid pack at best ass can give them. But they are part of what is known as XXC World HQ.

Soon HQ will be moving, and I will have to ask the question- "Which bikes to I take on my own, and which bikes do I let the moving company take???" The Ti El Mariachi comes with me, and the road bike comes with me. The rest.... Well I will just do a little chant to the Bike Gods that day and hope for the best that day.

I hope you enjoyed this tour of XXC World HQ more than I did bringing it to you. It really wasn't that great was it? Sorry. Maybe in the future I'll have a real office, with employees, etc., Nah!!! Because then I wouldn't able to work in my boxers and look at porn on the clock!! ;)
