From the reports and e mails with folks, it sound like this was a great day of racing. My plans to race Iron Cross were never materialized as traveling to D.C. last week and my families impending move to Michigan next week put the kibosh on those plans. Big huge props to Mike Kuhn from High Speed Cycling for continuing to put on a top notch event. BTW did you know that you can register for the 2011 event NOW?? Now THAT is some PREEE planning. Buy you will save yourself some dough. Click HERE to register and HERE for more results and info on Iron Cross 2010 AND '11.
Speaking of Cross....
Southern Cross 2011 is approaching!! The 2011 race will be held on February 26, 2011 at Montaluce Winery in Dahlonega, GA. Hmmmm "grappa" and bike racin'? While I enjoy beer a tad more than wine, a good dry red would go very nicely with some post race munchies thank you very much. For more information click HERE or if you're into the whole Facebook thing, visit the 55nine Performance page HERE for up to date info and details on when registration will go live.
To see 2010 Southern Cross coverage you can pick up a digital copy of XXC Magazine #6 for only $1.35 HERE, a print copy at MagCloud.com OR if you're into things that are free (and I have a feeling you are) you can check just click below, enlarge, head to page 6, read and enjoy.
XXC has also done up a piece on the 2009 Southern Cross race some time ago, which can also be seen for free on Issuu.com HERE.
Hopefully the later date will lessen the threat of a snow storm induced postponement. But you never know! Stay tuned for more info.
